Lauren Braswell, one of the co-founders and creators of Uzima, is a Certified Nurse Midwife. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing as well as a master’s degree in midwifery. Lauren has worked as a Registered Nurse for 14 years. She has experience in high-risk perinatal care, labor and delivery, the operating room, and the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). For the past six years, she's been using her talents and knowledge to provide obstetric care to women of all ages. She is passionate about birth and has been delivering babies in Dayton and its surrounding areas in addition to working at Uzima. She is married and has three children.

Toni Tipton, one of the co-founders and creators of Uzima, is a Board-Certified Women's Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Midwife. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, an associate degree in nursing, and dual master’s degree. She has worked as a Registered Nurse for 14 years. She has mainly worked in critical care nursing, including the Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Department. For the past six years, she has been employed with a federally qualified healthcare center focusing on Obstetrics and Women's health. She is also the creator of Yapheh Hair & Skin, a line of natural hair and skin products. She is married with five children.

Jaydra has been a Licensed Massage Therapist for nearly 13 years. The call and desire to help others feel better is what truly brought her to the world of massage. She likes knowing that she can in some way help a person feel better almost immediately. She marvels at the body's ability to overcome so many issues with massage. Wether it is with the use of Reiki to rebuild, Oncology for peace and strength, or restructuring with Deep Tissue/Stones/Bamboo, Jaydra's goal is to help usher you into a more tranquil space.
With her experience, wealth of knowledge and the various avenues and possibilities that exist in massage, she hopes to help bring people a total balance.

TJ Dorow received his Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from the University of Cincinnati in 2018 and is also a Board-Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. He has worked in the hospital setting, Family Practice and Primary Care doctor offices assisting providers and patients with medication therapy management. For the last year and a half, he has been employed with a federally qualified health center working under collaborative practice agreements managing patients with uncontrolled diabetes, high blood pressure, and providing education to staff and patients regarding medication use. He is married with one child, with another on the way!
